How to teach a dog the quiet cue

1. Let your dog bark a couple of times, then say 'quiet' in a calm voice.
2. Wait for even a one second pause.
3. Mark the pause with 'yes' and treat right away.
4. Gradually ask for longer pauses before the treat.
