Terms of Service

Who provides the service

5 Minute Pup is provided by Nathan D. Butcher, an individual based in the San Antonio, Texas area, USA ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@5minutepup.com. By using 5 Minute Pup, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You can use the free plan without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in details secure and give us an email address you control. You must be an adult (18 or older) to create an account or buy Premium.

Free plan

The free plan includes the 14-day starter plan, 40 lessons, streaks, and notes saved on your device. It's free, and it needs no card.

Premium yearly subscription ($29/year)

Premium yearly costs $29 per year (plus any applicable tax), charged by Stripe when you subscribe. It renews automatically every year at the then-current price until you cancel. If the price changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal. You can cancel anytime from the app (Progress, then Settings, then Manage subscription) or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Premium stays active until the end of the year you've already paid for.

Founding lifetime deal ($79 once)

The founding lifetime deal is a single $79 payment (plus any applicable tax), limited to the first 200 buyers. "Lifetime" means Premium for as long as 5 Minute Pup is offered, not for the lifetime of a person or pet. If we ever shut 5 Minute Pup down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email. Lifetime access is personal to your account and can't be transferred.

Refunds

If Premium isn't right for you, contact us within 30 days of a payment (your first purchase or a yearly renewal) and we'll refund that payment in full. After 30 days, payments aren't refundable unless the law requires otherwise. If you're on the yearly plan and want lifetime, contact us. When you buy lifetime, we'll cancel your yearly plan and refund the unused part of your current year. Today the app doesn't let an active yearly subscriber buy lifetime directly.

Training safety

Lessons are general educational guidance. They aren't veterinary advice and don't replace a veterinarian, a certified trainer or a behaviorist. You're responsible for your pet's safety and for the safety of the people and animals around you. Stop a session if your pet shows signs of pain, fear or stress. Talk to your veterinarian before starting new activities if your pet is young, old, injured or unwell. For aggression or serious anxiety, work with a qualified professional.

Our content and your content

The lessons, plans and app are ours. Don't copy, resell or redistribute them. The notes and pet details you enter remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. That includes trying to get Premium without paying, getting into other people's accounts, or interfering with the app. We may suspend accounts that do. If we suspend a paid account without a good reason, we'll refund it.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

5 Minute Pup is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any particular training result will follow. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the service and cancel any subscription.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas.
